Hyundai Motors was founded in 1967 in South Korea. It has sales of 8.01 Million which brings it on the fifth position.
#4 Renault Nissan
Renault Nissan produces 8.5 million vehicles anuanlly. It is founded in 1899 in France.
First, it was Renault from France, then came the Nissan from Japan and then Carlos Ghosn merged them. Yes, the charismatic CEO took the Renault-Nissan Alliance to a whole new level and the companies who were struggling to make profits now sell 8.5 million vehicles per year. While Nissan holds a strong ground in the U.S, Renault is doing good in Western Europe. And with more and more innovative cars, we hope they will soon cross 9 million annual sales.
#3 General Motors
General Motors holds the third position in the list with its sales of about 9.92 Million. It is originated in USA and was founded in 1908.
General Motors used to be the largest automobile manufacturer with a wide range of sub-brands under its umbrella. Then came the great depression and GM declared bankruptcy, losing many brands to the downfall. But it didn't stop GM from the bounce back and with 4 brands under an umbrella, GM sold close to 10 million vehicles in 2015, 9.92 million to be precise. With Chevrolet as the major selling brand, GM holds a much repo in the American market.
#2 Volkswagen AG
Volkswagen is on second position with sales 10.14 million cars annually. It was originated from Germany in 1937.
Volkswagen with itself owns ten more car companies which includes Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Skoda, Lamborghini, MAN, Porsche, Scania and etc. It has its largest market in China so it makes it the largest company.
#1 Toyota
Toyota holds first position with sales of 10.5 million per year. It is originated from Japan in 1937.
Toyota amazed everyone by succeeding Volkswagen who holds more than 10 companies as the most car manufacturing company. In 2015 Toyota alone sold 10 million cars and had a record.
